Before you bid

Questions couples ask

How does the bidding work?

Pick a venue, pick one of its three Valentine's dates, then tell us the most you would pay for that package. Your figure stays between you and our team. Nobody else sees it, and there is no bidding war to get dragged into.

Do I pay anything to bid?

No. Placing a bid costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Money only changes hands if you win the date and choose to go ahead.

What is the minimum bid for?

Each tier has a floor so every package still covers its own costs. The Ultimate starts at £4,000, The Signature at £2,000 and The Essential at £1,000. Bid below the floor and we cannot consider it.

Can I bid on more than one date?

Yes. Plenty of couples put in a figure for two or three options. Submit the form once per date you want.

What happens if I win?

One of our wedding coordinators calls you within seven days of the auction closing. They will walk you through the package, answer anything outstanding, and hold the date while you decide. Nothing is binding until you have signed and paid a deposit.

And if I do not win?

We will still have dates across eight venues, and savings of up to 75% run all year on selected dates. Ring the team on 0191 933 7409 and they will find you something.

Can I see the venue before I bid?

Yes, and we would rather you did. Book a tour and walk the place before you put a figure in. Call 0191 933 7409 or ask for a tour in the form.

Can we add guests or upgrades?

Yes. The tiers cover 40 or 60 guests depending on the package. Extra guests, extra nights and upgrades are all priced separately once you win, and your coordinator will quote them for you.

The small print

Auction terms

Eligibility: New bookings only, on the specific date and venue named in your bid. Guest numbers are capped at the figure shown for the package tier.
The bid: Bids are confidential and cannot be changed once submitted. The highest valid bid at or above the venue's reserve wins the date.
Booking: A winning bid is not a booking. The date is secured once a deposit is paid and our standard terms are signed.
Our rights: Each venue sets a confidential reserve. We may decline bids below reserve, or withdraw a date, at any time.
Notification: Winners are called within seven days of the auction closing. Bids are non-transferable and hold no cash value.
Your data: We handle your details in line with our privacy policy, and use them to contact you about this auction and your enquiry.
